About the Reviewer

Heather Parish is a San Joaquin Valley resident with a passion for theatre. With an academic background in the humanities and both academic and practical experience in theatre arts, Heather is interested in giving a considered critical voice to the rising theatre community in the area (particularly in those South Valley areas that do not have a regular reviewer in the area).  While she doesn’t review as often as she once did (too much theatre to produce, much less review), she is still available to South Valley companies by invitation.

Otherwise, you’ll get more “comments” than “reviews” on this site.

Heather has been on the production team of over 40 regional shows. As an actor, Heather has appeared in such classics as As You Like It (twice!), Miss Julie and Richard III. Primarily a director, Heather has recently helmed Enchanted April, The Importance of Being Earnest, Turn of the Screw and staged readings of Measure for Measure and Murder in the Cathedral. Heather is currently the Artistic Director of the Woodward Shakespeare Festival in Fresno and the Performing Arts Director for the City of Selma.
